Whole Wheat Bagels

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups unbleached whole wheat flour
2 cups unbleached  all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsps. active dry yeast
2 tbsps. honey
1 1/4-1/2 cups warm water
2 tbsps. oil (canola or vegetable)
1 1/2 tsps. salt

Directions:
Step 1 - Place your dry ingredients into your mixer and blend on low speed using the dough hook attachment. Then slowly add in your wet ingredients until the dough comes together.
Step 2 - Lay out a piece of parchment paper on your counter and lightly spray with canola oil. Take about a golf ball size of dough and roll into a ball then place on the parchment paper. Let rise until light in weight and doubled in size.  Bring a large pot of water to a boil and once boiling add 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of baking soda. Press down in the center of each dough ball and expand to make the bagel shape, then boil on each side for 2 minutes on each side then drain on a paper towel. Pre- heat your oven to 450 degrees and place the parchment paper on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until light golden brown in color.  Let cool and enjoy!
