2/3 cups dried organic elderberries
3/4 cup local honey
3 1/2 cups water
2 tbsps. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions:
Step 1 - Bring all of the ingredients except for the honey to a boil then let simmer covered for 40-50 minutes. Remove until cool enough to touch.
Step 2 - In a large measuring cup add honey, then pour elderberry mixture into a siv and mash through. You will be left with the elderberry skins and seeds, discard them. Whisk together until honey is dissolved into the mixture, then pour into a large glass container with a lid. The typical dose is 1/2-1 tsp. and for adults 1/2-1 tbsp. every 3 hours if you are feeling sick.
